Hollywood Gods formed in 2005 in Calgary Alberta, Canada with original members Jim Drinkle (Vocals), Matt Wickens (Guitar), Andrew Visser (Drums), Nick Kapple (Guitar), and Grant Guidry (Bass).
Getting signed to New York label Longshot Music in early 2006, they released a split 7" EP with Soundcity Hooligans from Kamloops British Columbia. In 2007 they went on to release their Self-Titled full length album on Juxtaposition Records.
In 2008 Grant Guidry left the band and was replaced by Bill Kerr on bass who joined the band on their 2008 tour. In 2009, guitarist Nick Kapple left the band and was temporarily replaced on guitar by Al Drinkle from Rum Runner.
